Evolution and sustainable growth of a large company

ELPOR is one of the leading Spanish companies in the frozen octopus sector at both a national and international level. The determined drive for research, innovation, and internationalisation has always placed us at the forefront since our very beginning.

The company has modern octopus preparation and distribution facilities at its headquarters in Ayamonte (Huelva). It has more than 2,000 m² (undergoing expansion) and has cold stores, as well as defrosting, cooking and processing plants for cephalopods to bring the best product to the customer, at the best price and in the best conditions.

At our facilities we receive fresh products daily from the main fishing waters and fish markets in Spain and Portugal. Special mention should be made to our affiliates in Morocco and Mauritania, where we have a large fleet that offers us the best raw material at any time of the year.

The company has FDA Food Certification for the commercialisation of octopus in the USA. It is also in the process of obtaining IFS Food certification for the commercialisation of the product at a national and international level, which facilitates our entry into the third party countries that we have been in contact with for years.
